Why are muslims not allowed to show images of the prophet mohammed?
prohibition of depictions of muhammad was instituted by scholars consensus after signs of deification of him in way similar to that of jesus, thus instituting fears of becoming a quasi-christian branch of an abrahamic religion, hence the prohibition.
