It's definitely different then when I was a kid. You used to practice and 'try out' for the football team, and sometimes you didn't make it. Sometimes you got cut, and sometimes, you even got the crap knocked out of you by the team or the coach during practice. No more. Now they have 4 different teams that the kids are ranked in. Oh, and no more 1st, 2nd and 3rd place; everyone gets at least a participation trophy. Since I became unemployed last summer, I have been spending most of my time here at home with the cats. My husband recently brought it to my attention that one of my cats is freaking out when I do leave. I went to the store the other day and he said Willie was running around howling, looking out the windows, and pawing at the door. My kids said they've seen it too. I really don't know what I can do about this. I have nowhere to go and limited funds to go anywhere on so I spend about 95% of my time here. I will eventually find another job and I don't want him to be freaked out when I do have to be away from home every day. Has anyone else gone through this or have any suggestions on helping him not become so dependent on me being here? The other cats don't seem to have an issue with it. If it helps, Willie has some Maine Coon heritage and is 2 years old.

How do you land kickflips every time perfectly on flat ground and doing them moving?

Hi, I can ollie, shuvit, pop shuvit, casper, bert slide, rail stand, boneless, but I need TONS and TONS of help with kickflips. Today I REALLY SUCKED at doing kicklfips. It was flying all over the place and couldn't control it. What I've been doing to help me with my kickflips is that I that I have board on cement and I hold to the basketball hoop pole next to my garage and it keeps me more staple when do kickflips. I can land them like every time when I hold onto the basketball hoop pole, but I need a lot of help land them on regular cement not rolling and rolling. Plus I can land them in the gr pretty well, but it's harder to do them that way instead of the basketball hoop pole. Here are some problems when I do kickflips. One problem that happens A LOT AND PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ONE, is that the board will shoot out in front of me and I'll land with my front only or with no feet. A second thing that happens that I won't get the full rotation and I'll straight on my board upside down or not land on it at all. And a BIG problem that I have is that I get really scared when I try to land them with two feet because one time I landed one, but then I feel really hard. Another thing that annoys me a lot is that even when do land them on flat ground I can't land them the next try sometimes and I really want to land them every time. Another thing that happens when I land them on normal flat ground is that I'll want to try them moving and what happens is that when i try them moving I'll either land with my back foot only or I'll land with my front foot only because the board shot in front of me. I may also land with no feet when the board shoots in front of me. Another thing that happens when I try kickflips moving is that the board won't make the full rotation. Plus, I will also get really scared trying to land with two feet moving. Another thing that happens is that the board will go verticaly it will spin backside vertically, spin backside and flip, or go vertical and flip and I'll land with no feet when all three of those things happen. Also, this happens ALOT too, is that the I'll a REALLY, REALLY hard time poping the board because of my fear of land with two feet and it will either not make the full rotation, spin backside and not make the full rotation, or shoot out in front of me and not make the full rotation. I also have a hard time jumping in the air as high as I can to let the board flip under me when I do the trick with no hands because of my fear of landing with two feet and have a better chance of falling. So is there an AWESOME skater out there who can answer can give me their BEST tips on how I can fix my probelems with my kicklfips? And only answer if you know how to fix ALL my problems with kickflips. THANKS!

Okay, at the time of the count I had a bacterial infection and was pregnant. My white blood cell count was high, 15.3 my lymphocytes were low but my absolute lymph was fine. My neurophillis (pardon the spelling) was high. I ended up going into labor early due to the infection. What's bothering me is the low lymphocytes, what can cause low lymphocytes normal absolute and high neurohwhater. Was it due to the infection or could something else be wrong. Can something be done legally to stop harment in the work place without losing my job?

Unless you have proof of the harment and I dont mean just doenting actual proof either by tape recording, text messages showing persons phone number or another employee witnessing there really isnt much that can be done. But if you have evidence then you have just cause to inact on it as long as you wernt the instigator by any means. I firstly would approach management but do not give them the evidence but just show it to them as its your only legs to stand on. If nothing is done by your managers then I suggest seeking legal help, and either sue your work place for not supplying a safe work place or sueing the individual for harment in the work place. Or sue both for stress. Or threaten your work place with a law suit. Another approach is seek legal advice and then go to your manager, and say youve seeked legal advice.

i'm a sopre in high school and just thought i'd start looking around at some colleges. i realize it's really early, but i just thought i'd get a head start on it. i'd like to go to school in california or one of the carolinas, but it doesn't have to be there. i just want to be on or near a coastline, maybe a little snow time to time, and lots of stuff to do, but not totally touristy. i really want school that has personality - somewhere with lots of activities, clubs, traditions, and fun stuff to do, and lots of opportunities, like studying abroad and field studies and stuff like that. it doesn't have to be in a city, but it can't be in the middle of nowhere. it would also be nice to have a campus that isn't just buildings and parking lots....somewhere with a nice setting. it also has to have really good academics. i'm not sure what i want to major in, but lately i've been thinking about photography and zoology (which are total opposites, i know) so i'd like a school that offers both if possible. and i probably don't want to go to a HUGE school.....my high school is in the middle of nowhere and only has about 700 kids in it, so i think i'd be really overwhelmed with 35,000 students. the school also HAS to have a field hockey team. hockey is my life, and if i can't play in college, i'm not interested. any suggestions? i have a 4.0 gpa, scored 2010 on my psats if i'm reading the website right, am taking 2 ap cles next year and hopefully 3 or more my senior year, and have TONS of extra curriculars everywhere from sports to honor societies to youth group, so i'm not worried about being accepted. my family also doesn't have very much money saved up, and while i'm sure i can get scholarships, i can't go somewhere that costs $100,000 a year. does anyone have any colleges that might be right for me? thanks so much! :)

People always say don't be another statistic but if the media or everyone label us and portray us as a whole we might as well be another statistic. I am a AA male who is enrolled in college full time, go to cl everyday and have a 3.8 GPA, No kids, no baby mama drama, never been incarcerated and I’m sure there are plenty of more black young men just like me. I still have to listen to the media everyday and hear about the statistics. I also has this prob with my son .. we got the duck tub and it worked pretty well but he could still move his bottom around...but not as much. The biggest prob I had with it was he liked to lean on the sides and front so I was more worried he was gonna fall out the side. { he never did I would never leave him even for a second while he is in the tub} I only used it for about 3 months then he was in the big tub. How can I make my novel move slower?

I had this problem writing my first story. I felt like I jumped into it too quickly. What I did though was added more into. Like I wrote a book and when I started out I wanted it to just be about this girl dealing with drug addict parents. But I added more into it that she ended up becoming pregnant, and in love, losing her best friend and being torn between reality and dreams. I think that makes a lot better when you can just add random things to throw in there. It adds a lot more for your imagination to come up with and more plot and climax, longer story, more details, better twist; which is always a great way to bring in readers. :)

I am embarred to admit this, but my almost 3 year old still has a pacifier. I have limited her to ONLY sleeptimes....naps & bedtime. I have an infant that still has a paci so it's hard for me to take hers completely away when our other child still has his. She is a fantastic sleeper.......but only with her paci. She takes good long naps and has been sleeping through the night since she was two months old. I have tried to get her to sleep without it, but she seems very traumatized. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have suggestions for how to remove the paci without ruining her good sleeping and traumatizing her? Also, on another note, I have been reading a book by a sleep expert (Jodi Mindell's book) and was shocked that she says it's fine for kids to sleep with pacis up to 4 years old. I went 10 years straight back int he 80's and the best seats I found were Northwest Vista, Double letter rows ( like MM ) and section 8. This will let you see them through turn 3 and 4 and all the way down the straight. This is the most you will see from any one seat there. Don't sit on the straightaway. You will end up with a sore neck and some people get stuck behind steel I beams in the lower section. I know it happend to me.

My dog is named Muggs he is an 8 year old beagle. He was diagnosed with cancer about 6 months ago maybe a little bit longer and since then has had numerous surgeries. The cancer started in his leg, and was removed only to return weeks later and finally his leg had to be amputated. The day after getting out of his leg amputation surgery he was already walking and running around acting as though nothing had happened and he had always had three legs. He just had a recent surgery that he returned from a few days ago where 3 more cancerous lumps were removed. The incision was a lot larger than we had anticipated it stretches from the back of his neck all down behind his ear and down to where his leg used to be. He now has a drainage system to avoid clotting and to minimize the possibility of infection. His large wound is held together by staples and some stitching that he could easily rip out, so he is not allowed to be outside unless on a leash, walk, jump, run or play, or climb any stairs. Even after this extensive surgery he is still his same self trying to run around and play, and its been difficult to keep him in one place. All the people at the vet hospital absolutely adore him and have a picture of only him hanging on the wall because he has been such a trooper. Everyone loves him and he has a great character. I wanna show people how great he is and maybe help pay the medical bills since they are so expensive and we can barely afford it. I want to write to a tv show about him to show his braveness through all of this and give hope to other people about their own dogs with cancer and that it is possible to overcome it even when it seems at its worst. If anyone has any information they could give me it would be much appreciated I also have pictures of Muggs right now with his staples and everything, and some of right after his leg was amputated and how happy he is. It's not bad to use bottled DRINKING water to mix with formula but babies don't need water until 6 months old and not distilled. It doesn't have the fluoride that tap water has so most Dr's recommend filtered tap for teeth development. There is also Nursery water you can get that is purified and fluoridated. Im 18. I live with my bf so we have regularly. I'm on seasonale birth control so my periods are three months apart. In may i had almost 2 weeks of irregular bleeding. I have been in and out of the doctor’s office with a bad chest cold about 3 months ago. They gave me 2 different antibiotics to finally get rid of it. The antibiotic they gave was lavaquin. I know have some tendonitis in both elbows that I believe was caused by the drug since it does have a huge law suit against them for causing this. After taking the lavaquin I also got really bad acid reflux and took prilosec to get rid of it. Since then I don’t get the bad acid type reflux to much but after I eat the food feel like it in lodged in the top of my throat also get a heavy feeling on my chest with cold and hot sweats what is this a panic attack or sings of an up coming heart attack or some kind of reflux problem don’t want to go to the doc again I am afraid they will think I am a hyper condreract. I have the same thing with my teeth, I have a space in the front of my teeth and one of teeth have grown in crooked. So we just had our big dance recently, I was going to ask the girl I have been in love with for seven years to go with me, as I did the year before(she said no) , but long before I could do that one of my close female friends asked me, and I didn't want to lose the chance so I said yes, long time later the girl I love told me she was going to ask me if the other girl didnt ask me, and keep in mind these two hate eachother. Anyways, at the dance, the first person I slow danced with was the girl I love, not my date to the dance, although my date didn't see. My date also knows I lover the other girl just for the record. Then I thought it might be the last song so I went looking for my date who had got caught up with her girly friends, as I looked I found the girl I love who had her arms open and wanted to dance with me, so of course I couldn't say no to the love of my life, but during our first rotation I saw that my date had been looking for me and she was staring at us, jaw dropped. She couldn't tell I saw her though.
