How do I stop thinking?
act natural. do what feels right instead of what IS right (or what you are trying to figure out to be right). go with the flow of things. people sense and respect that more than they do fancy words or quick-witt. study other people instead of yourself. figure out by what they say and how they act what you can talk about, instead of how you appear to them. the truth is everybody thinks about how they appear to some extent, you've just gone overboard. if you cant stop thinking less just change the focus. focus on your gut instead of your face or the content of your words. if you feel bad at conversation research something interesting you can talk about when it comes up. figure out some opinions you have on things. study vocabulary and enhance it by reading. then you'll have the confidence and ability. conversation is an ebb and flow - bounce off of others instead of focusing on you, reflect and respond to what they say, instead of thinking of something of your own to say.
