Exercising Pilates?

I just started doing Pilates, and I have pretty much no muscle, so it's VERY hard. Some of the stuff I can do, but the majority of it I can't even come near to (especially the teaser). Any suggestions on how I can work up to what they are doing on the video? Half the time I just lie there and do scrunches when i can't do what they're doing, and it's pretty boring.
